Reborn Furniture started in a garage with a pile of pallet wood and a simple idea: that real wood, made properly, should be available to everyone. Ten years on, we're still making furniture the same way. Just the five of us, in our Cambridgeshire workshop, building things that last.

Where it began

From a garage
in my parents' house

It started with a bedside table. I'd always preferred the look of real wood over anything synthetic, but the cost put it out of reach for most people, me included. So I started collecting pallets, breaking them down, and making the furniture myself. The first pieces sold on Etsy, and from there, things moved quickly.

Once the bedsides were selling, I moved on to bigger pieces, proper solid timber that opened up bookcases, TV units, room dividers. Each one made by hand, each one different. The wood has character built into it, knocks and grain that you can't manufacture, and that's exactly what people started coming to us for.

A few years in, I took on my first small workshop. Then my first employee. Then another, and another. Today there are five of us: Andy, Lukas, Hubert, Emilio and Kyran, still working in that same hands-on, unhurried way. No factory line. No shortcuts. Just people who care about what they're making.

We started on Etsy, grew through word of mouth, and eventually built rebornfurniture.co.uk as our home. The business has grown every year, but the approach hasn't changed. We still make everything to order. We still answer every message ourselves. And we still build furniture like it's meant to be around in 25 years, because it is.

Real wood. Always.

Every piece is made from solid pine timber. The grain, the knots, the natural marks of real wood. That's what you're buying, and it's better than anything that comes out of a factory looking perfect.

Made to your size.

We don't make a standard size and expect you to fit your room around it. Tell us your dimensions, whether it's an alcove, a skirting board or an awkward ceiling, and we'll build it to fit. Every order is a custom order.

Built to outlast.

We guarantee our furniture for 25 years because we're confident it'll still be standing long after that. Good joinery, quality wax, and solid timber don't have a best-before date.

Every piece passes through six pairs of hands before it reaches you. Here is the journey your furniture takes once you place an order.

Stage I

Your order arrives

Andy

We review your dimensions, check the timber, and slot your piece into the build schedule. You'll have a confirmation within 24 hours.

Stage II

Cutting & sanding

Lukas

Lukas selects each plank by hand, cuts your piece to its exact size, then sands every surface smooth through progressively finer grits.

Stage III

Waxing by hand

Hubert

Hubert works wax into the grain with a soft cloth. The timber deepens from pale pine to a warm honey amber.

Stage IV

Building your piece

Emilio

Emilio assembles every component into the finished piece. Joints fitted, shelves levelled, drawers tested.

Stage V

Finishing & quality check

Kyran

Kyran gives every piece a final pass. Edges, surfaces, hinges and runners all checked before it earns the Reborn name.

Stage VI

Delivery to your door

Carl

Carl is in touch around a week before delivery to arrange a time that suits you, and brings your piece into the room of your choice.

Around four weeks after you order, we'll email you a link to check your estimated delivery date.

Started Reborn in his parents' garage with nothing but reclaimed pallets and a good idea. Still makes furniture every day, ten years later.

Waxing & Finishing Prep

Hubert hand-waxes every piece before it's built, working the wax into the grain until the timber takes on its warm, deep colour. The finish you feel when it arrives is his work.

Lukas, Reborn Furniture workshop

Lukas

Cutting & Sanding

Lukas selects the timber and cuts every piece to size, then sands each surface by hand. He draws pieces up too, translating a customer's dimensions into something that works in real wood and real space.

Emilio, Reborn Furniture workshop

Emilio

Craftsman & Workshop Manager

Emilio runs the workshop and builds the pieces themselves. Every creation that leaves our unit has been through his hands. He's responsible for the standard everything else is measured against.

Kyran is the last pair of hands on every piece. He checks the finish, tests the moving parts, and makes sure nothing leaves the workshop until it's right.

We only work with solid pine timber, the kind with knots, grain, and the marks of a working life already in it. We work with those qualities, not against them. That's what makes every piece unique, and what no flat-pack product will ever be able to replicate.
